IPL 2022 || IPL Retention 2022 News Update



Today we will get all retention list of player there respective franchises 
MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah and Glenn Maxwell are among some of the big names that the existing franchises have decided to retain for IPL 2022.
The following list of retention player as per sources and popular sports website 

Chennai Super Kings:

Kolkata Knight Riders: 
Andre Russell, Varun Chakravarthy, Venkatesh Iyer, Sunil Narine

Sunrisers Hyderabad:

Mumbai Indians:

Royal Challengers Bangalore:

Points To note or Rules-

  • Deduction in INR crore. Total salary purse for each team in INR 90 crore. 
  • For uncapped players, the deduction will be INR 4 crore. 
  • Up to four players(Max 3 Indians, max 2 overseas, max 2 uncapped indians) 
  • New teams can pick up to three players ( max 2 Indians, max 1 overseas, max uncapped indian) after retention 
  • If a team pays a player more than the retention slab, then that higher amount will be deducted from team's auction purse. 
If franchise retains four players, INR 42 crore would be deducted from the total purse 90 crore. 
If franchise retains three players, INR 33 crore
Would be deducted from the total purse. 
If franchise retains two players, INR 24 crore would be deducted from the total purse. 
If franchise retains only one player, INR 14 crore would be deducted from the total purse
